Our Standards:
US HERO's training and certification standards are designed to comply with those of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), which is the standards authority for all rescue and fire services in the United States. We also comply with FEMA requirements on non-rescue specialties, such as Incident Command, Disaster Relief, etc. Both FEMA and NFPA Standards meet or exceed NIMS requirements.

NASAR SAR Tech II = Wilderness SAR Technician
NASAR SAR Tech I = Wilderness SAR Unit Leader
NASAR Canine SAR Tech II = K9 SAR Technician Air Scent
NASAR Canine Human Remains Detection (HRD) = K9 SAR Technician HRD
